According to news updates, the government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has planned to launch a project to develop access roads to historic tourist sites in the province to promote tourism in the region.
The Provincial Working Development Party authorized PC-1s for an access road to Sheikh Badin (Lakki Marwat), up-gradation and reconstruction of the 24km Thandiani Road (Abbottabad), and Mankyal Road (Swat).
In the meeting, chaired by KP Chief Minister Mahmood Khan also reviewed progress on various projects of the tourism, health, and education departments. The projects, once completed, would increase tourism activities in the region.
The cost assessment and construction of the other three approach roads ? the 40-kilometer Kalam-Kumrat Road (Swat),16-kilometer Thal Jahaz Banda Road (Upper Dir), and the 52-kilometer Patrak Kumrat Tori Oba Road (Upper Dir)had been submitted
